Software ThinkTank’s Managing Editor, Karin Wilson, brings a keen ear and thought for getting the real story behind the voice to this website. She has worked for more than 20 years as an editor, radio producer, writer, columnist and broadcaster. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers across North America.
Always on the look-out for the latest buzz in media culture, in the mid-1990s she took what many considered to be a foolish risk – tossing aside her reliable newspaper job to become an editor with a start-up company, intent on harnessing the power of this new thing called The Internet.
During her time as the editor for Bridges.com (now Bridges Transitions), it quickly distinguished itself as the premier online education career-planning website and today it boasts more than 3,400 customers representing more than 30,000 schools throughout the North America.
A proud born and bred Vancouverite, her work has taken her throughout beautiful B.C., across North America and abroad to Europe; inside boardrooms, onto fishing boats and into more forest fire emergencies than she ever wanted to experience.
Karin now turns her attention to the task of thinking through how software is bought, used and implemented today; concentrating her thoughts on honing the successes and advantages the right software solution can produce for business management. Karin helps the Software ThinkTank readership get the best bang for the buck out of today’s complex software solutions through innovative thinking and practical application.
